

About Bishop Fowler
Bishop Dr. Dwight Fowler is a native of Rochester, NY.
God chose Oscar and Elizabeth Fowler (both now deceased) for his parents. Bishop Dr. Fowler was blessed to have had a grandmother (Mary Damon) who was a gifted Bible teacher and who taught him and his siblings the infallible Word of God.
He was educated in the Rochester City Schools before entering Job Corps (Edinburgh, IN). Upon returning to Rochester in 1976, he attained a High School Equivalency Diploma from the New York State Board of Regents.
Also in 1976, Bishop Dr. Fowler accepted the call of God to the Word Ministry. Bishop John G. Stewart (a scholar of the Word) licensed Pastor Fowler in 1976, and ordained him in 1982, to preach the Gospel and to exercise his gifts in the work of the Ministry. What Bishop Dr. Fowler has learned from God and in Seminary, he passes it on to his Members and those that desire to be “Kingdom-Ruled“.
In 1983, Bishop Dr. Fowler was led of the Lord to visit, and subsequently, join the Church of God Reformation. He became the Senior Pastor of First Church of God of Rochester, New York in 1988.
Bishop Dr. Fowler is bi-vocational and has been employed with the Rochester City School District for over 15 years working in various departments dealing with parental involvement and community affairs.

Bishop Dr. Fowler has made a life commitment to be a student & teacher of the Word by attending the In Service Training Institute at Anderson University – Anderson, IN, sponsored by the Leadership Board of the National Association of the Church of God (West Middlesex, PA).
He is married to Minister Lady Shelly Regina Fowler. They have five adult children (Tatanisha, Dee, Christopher, Deborah and Timothy) and three beautiful grandchildren (Kiarah, Talyk and Tatyana).
Finally, because of his love for God and for God's People, Bishop Dr. Dwight Fowler's motto is: “FIND THE NEED AND MEET IT”!
